Remote Student Typing Jobs | (Part-Time / Work From Home)

We’re a remote-first company that provides part-time work opportunities for college and university students. It’s a simple idea – you should be able to earn and study at the same time, without one getting in the way of the other.

We’ve been hiring student typists for a while and we know that most students don’t want anything complicated. They want flex time, honest work and a little something to put on their resume. That’s what this job is about.

Job Role:

As a Student Typist you will be responsible for data entry, word processing, and basic formatting. Not too technical. You’ll be working with company files and databases — inputting data, classifying records, doing some light editing, that sort of thing.

It's pretty basic stuff. But it takes someone who pays attention to detail and doesn't just rush through things to hit a number.

Job Responsibility:

• Up-to-date record keeping and data entry into company systems
• Typist reports, letters and other documents as instructed
• proofreading your own work before submitting it—typos, formatting issues, etc.
• To organize files and information in a way that they can be found later
• Sensitive data and confidentiality are handled with care
• Meeting weekly targets while keeping high accuracy
• Occasionally joining online training to improve speed and workflow
• If you require clarification on a task, stay in touch with your supervisor

Required Skills

• Typing speed of 40+ WPM with decent accuracy
• “Good eye for detail, you know when something looks wrong
• Familiarity with MS Word, Excel or Google Docs.
• Ability to manage your own time and meet deadlines with little follow-up;
• Ability to work from home autonomously
• Clear written communication — you can easily write a professional email or message
• It’s helpful (but not required) if you have experience with data entry, or have used tools like Google Drive, Dropbox or Slack.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Students who are currently attending a college or university
• Freshers are welcome, No prior work experience required
• Any student who can devote a minimum of 10 hours a week
• Great if you have done any data entry or typing work before. If not, that's OK too.  We will teach you.

Some Things You Should Know

The job is not high pressure. You won’t be on the phone all day long or in meetings every other hour. It’s task-based remote work – do your assigned tasks well, meet deadline, stay responsive with your team and that’s really it.

It’s also a good way to get some early professional experience before you graduate. Many of the students that come to us say they liked having something concrete and real to show employers later.
